Easy to setup and configure, EquaLink is a complete Battery Management System with active voltage balancing.
EquaLink is an Ethernet-based battery management system that monitors the voltage, internal resistance, and temperature of each battery in a stationary, telecom or UPS battery system. Through a patented balancing process, EquaLink actively regulates the float charging current of each battery, ensuring all batteries charge at their optimal voltage. This system is designed for many battery applications including lead acid (flooded/wet, VRLA, gel, AGM, etc.) as well as nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd) and nickel metal hydride (NiMH).

This professional quality deionizer system is not just a filter, which only removes particles, but a real ion-exchange medium that electrostatically removes dissolved impurities. Purity is comparable with distilled water and ideal for batteries.
Lead-Acid Battery Water Deionizer System
Maximize battery performance with pure water from the tap.
Our water deionizer reduces the high cost of buying bottled water and is more convenient. Each disposable cartridge purifies about 600 gallons of water (2400 liters). Why let impurities in your water reduce the life of your battery, when this system is so easy to use and cost effective?
How Does it Work?
Inside the deionizer, tap water is passed through a cartridge containing beds of cationic and anionic resins which electrostatically remove impurities. The result is very pure water. When the cartridge is exhausted, simply replace it with a fresh one. Cartridges are available for a fraction of the cost of distilled water, enabling you to produce your own pure water for less money than it would cost to buy it.
Why Use a Deionizer for Battery Water?
Metallic impurities in water can poison the battery, affect cell voltages, and increase self-discharge, all of which can result in shortened battery run time and reduced battery life. Calcium and magnesium compounds found in hard water may cause mossing and dendrite growth through the separators. Note that these impurities are dissolved in the water and cannot be removed by conventional filters. Using deionized water is a simple and effective way to maximize battery life.

Saft’s new Compact range of maintenance-free nickel batteries for industrial backup can be fitted in the same footprint and share charging protocols as lead-acid batteries. As a result, operators can upgrade to nickel technology in their existing cabinets and immediately improve reliability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
The Compact nickel battery systems are directly compatible with valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery chargers. Normally, nickel batteries require a boost charge to reach a fully charged state. However, the new Compact Ni-Cd range requires only a single step charging voltage of 1.39 Volts per cell. This makes it possible to use them as a direct drop-in replacement for existing VRLA batteries. This development builds on Saft’s successful introduction of similar innovative features in its Uptimax nickel battery solutions.
