InAir ADSS

Suspension of fiber optic cables onto existing power transmission towers is the most common way of building long distance optical communication systems. ADSS fiber optic cables are designed for outside plant aerial and duct applications and used in different installations (from pole-to-building to town-to-town).

InArmor

When it is not possible to suspend the cable on overhead towers or install it into cable ducts, cable can be buried in any ground types, swamps, and harsh rivers. A distinctive feature of a direct buried cable is the armor, which protects cable from crushing loads. Incab InArmor cable range consists of 16 designs.

An overhead fiber optic cable with an external strength member is used for cost-effective building aerial communication systems mostly in rural areas, where towers are located close to each other. Unlike all-dielectric self-supporting cables, where the strength member is placed in the core of the design, in Figure 8 cables the strength element is placed outside the core. The cross-section of this cable type is 8-shaped: the upper part is the suspension element, the lower one is the core with the fiber.

InDuct

Duct cables are usually laid underground in ducts, conduits, and trays with no or a low risk of rodent attacks. This type of black-jacketed cables is also suitable for aerial installation on power lines, lamp posts, railway overhead systems. Duct cables are widely used in the conventional telecommunication duct systems, urban networks, access networks, and in FTTH networks. Cables installed in ducts are resistant to weather conditions and mechanical damages.

BlownIn

Blown fiber optic technology, also known as jetting, is when a machine is used to float cable through the fiber cable conduit run by using highly pressurized air to push it forward. Fiber optic cables are blown into ducts/microducts creating communication infrastructure. The duct is made of high-density polyethylene which protects the cable from mechanical damages and moisture. This allows a very simple cable design. Tensile load is evenly distributed along the cable surface.

InWater

Incab America offers cables for underwater installation down to 16,400 ft. Submersible cables are subject to great crush and tensile stresses, that’s why they should be durable enough and suitable for high pressure of subsea environment. Incab underwater cables are generally designed with galvanized steel wire armor.

InHome FTTH

The essence of FTTH technology is in its name — Fiber To The Home. This technology allows a fiber optic cable to be laid from the provider’s equipment directly to the subscriber’s apartment/house. FTTH is currently the most advanced technology used to build broadband networks.

InFire

The increasing number of fires leads to more and more stringent requirements in terms of optical cable fire safety. For critical communication lines flame-retardant properties of the cables are required to ensure normal signal transmission in emergency situations. An isolated fire can develop into a large fire due to the rapid flame spread along cable communications.

InDrop FTTH

Drop cable is used for distribution of the broadband communication networks in rural areas. It is suspended on power transmission towers, lighting poles, between buildings and structures. Drop cables can also be installed inside buildings, in cable trays and ducts, as well as on the external surface of the buildings.

InControl Cables

The next-generation electric power system, known as Smart Grid, is expected to help solve the problem of energy shortage. The Smart Grid communication network, with its diverse structure, is a crucial component of the new power system.
