Key Features
- Pressure regulators lower the water pressure coming from the water source to a set pressure; helps prevent blowouts of fittings and emitters
- Pressure-regulating Y filter combines the features of a pressure regulator and filter in one component
- Y filter blocks particulates in the water before they can clog and potentially damage emitters
- NDS components are made of heavy-duty plastic treated with UV inhibitors
Applications
- Lower incoming water pressure to prevent blowouts of emitters and fittings with the pressure regulator or pressure-regulating filter
- Block particulates in the water before they can clog and potentially damage emitters with the Y filter
- The pressure regulator, pressure-regulating Y filter, and Y filter are essential components to optimize the drip system
Materials & Sustainability
- Pressure regulator, pressure-regulating Y filter, and Y filter housing are made of high-impact Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking
- Filter screen in the pressure-regulating Y filter is made of stainless steel
- Filter screen in the Y filter is made of polyester
- Made of imported and domestic materials
- Drip irrigation can reduce water usage by up to 70% compared to conventional sprinkler irrigation when used properly; for most drip irrigation products, water is applied precisely and at the rate the soil can accept it to prevent runoff and erosion
Installation & Maintenance
- Pressure regulator and pressure-regulating Y filter connect to a water supply line
- Y filter connects to a pressure regulator on one end
- Periodically check for leaks or damage and replace or repair as needed; filter can be flushed out by removing the flush cap and running water through or screen removed from housing to clean
