Key Features
- Insert coupling, cross, elbow, tee, and wye connect sections of 17mm supply tubing or dripline
- Insert barb ball valve manages water flow with a control dial
- The barbed ends insert into drip tubing and anchor into place
- Insert fittings are designed to work with standard drip irrigation water pressures up to 50 PSI
- Works with 17mm tubing or dripline and other products with compatible connection type
Applications
- Use fittings to set up a new drip irrigation system, expand an existing system, or make repairs
- Use for subsurface or on grade installation; works with tubing or dripline to transport water to trees shrubs, flower beds, groundcover, vegetable gardens, plants in pots, planter boxes, and hanging baskets
- As part of a complete drip irrigation system, the 17mm fitting fits 17mm tubing or 17mm dripline or to other drip irrigation parts to transport water to the area to be irrigated
Materials & Sustainability
- Ball valve is made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking
- Connectors are made of polyoxymethylene (POM), also known as acetal, treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking
- Ball valve is made in Austria
- Connectors are made in the USA
- Drip irrigation can reduce water usage by up to 70% compared to conventional sprinkler irrigation when used properly; for most drip irrigation products, water is applied precisely and at the rate the soil can accept it to prevent runoff and erosion
Installation & Maintenance
- For the connectors, insert barbed fitting into 17mm tubing as far as it will go; barb will hold the product in place
- For the ball valve, install between two lengths of 17mm tubing where the flow of water needs to be controlled; insert barbed ends into tubing
- Periodically check for leaks or damage and repair as needed; recommended operating pressure for most fittings is up to 50 PSI
