Key Features
- Makes the transition from pipe or sprinkler riser to distribution tubing or dripline
- Designed to work with standard drip irrigation water pressures up to 50 PSI
- Works with NDS products and other products with compatible connection type
Applications
- Socket adapters are used to transition from pipe to supply tubing or dripline to transport water to the area to be irrigated
- Threaded adapters attaches to an underground sprinkler riser and are used to convert a sprinkler system to a drip irrigation system
- As part of a complete drip irrigation system, the socket adapter or threaded adapter is used to transition from pipe or sprinkler riser to drip irrigation tubing
Materials & Sustainability
- Socket adapters are made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking
- Threaded adapters are made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking
- Drip irrigation can reduce water usage by up to 70% compared to conventional sprinkler irrigation when used properly; for most drip irrigation products, water is applied precisely and at the rate the soil can accept it to prevent runoff and erosion
Installation & Maintenance
- For the socket adapter: attach pipe to socket, insert supply tubing or dripline 700 Series to other end; solvent weld for a watertight connection
- For the threaded adapter: remove sprinkler spray head and attach adapter; connect other end to tubing; 1/4 in. swivel fitting connects to 1/4 in. distribution tubing (A220 and A250) or 1/4 in. DuraFlo™ JR dripline
- Periodically check for leaks or damage and repair as needed; recommended operating pressure for most fittings is up to 50 PSI
