Shaxon’s TAA Compliant CAT 6 shielded patch cables are built for performance and protection in electrically noisy environments, offering robust signal integrity with added shielding. Manufactured in the USA to meet Trade Agreements Act (TAA) requirements, these cables are ideal for secure government, military, and industrial installations where EMI/RFI interference is a concern.
Featuring stranded STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) construction and flush molded boots, these cables combine flexibility with durable protection. The low-profile boot design guards the RJ45 clip and allows for efficient cable management in dense patch panels, while the shielding ensures consistent performance in environments with heavy electrical interference.
Key Features:
-
Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) Design: Reduces electromagnetic and radio frequency interference for cleaner signal transmission.
-
Stranded Conductors: Provide added flexibility for patching in racks, panels, or tight installations.
-
Flush Molded Boots: Protect the connector clip while allowing for tight side-by-side connections in dense environments.
-
CM Rated Jacket: Suitable for use in general-purpose commercial applications.
-
Made in the USA / TAA Compliant: Fully meets Trade Agreements Act requirements for federally funded projects.
Benefits:
-
Superior EMI/RFI Protection: Ideal for use near industrial equipment, power sources, or other interference-prone areas.
-
Reliable and Flexible: Stranded copper offers easy handling without sacrificing performance.
-
Streamlined Installation: Slim boot profile fits neatly in high-density patch panels or network enclosures.
-
Secure Government Use: Complies with TAA guidelines for secure procurement.
-
Custom Options Available: Offered in multiple lengths and colors, with custom solutions available upon request.
CATEGORY 6
Category 6 (Cat 6) cable is a standardized twisted pair cable commonly used for Ethernet and other network physical layers. It is backward compatible with Category 5/5e and Category 3, and supports Gigabit Ethernet as well as higher-speed applications in structured cabling systems up to 100 meters.
CABLING STANDARDS
Global cabling standards are maintained by ISO/IEC, CENELEC, and TIA. Solid-conductor UTP and STP cables for permanent backbone cabling are typically specified between 22 and 24 AWG, while stranded cables like these are optimized for patching flexibility and shorter runs.
