With the steady increase of utilizing 40 and 100 Gig systems using Multimode MPO assemblies, the “œSR4″ polarity verifier has proven to be a very useful set up around the industry. As with most MPO networks, continuity and polarity verification can prove challenging and time consuming. Traditional methods involve expensive breakout cables and single fiber visual fault locators, checking only one channel at a time. The new SR4 MPO Visual Verifier made by FIS, allows the user to quickly ensure the proper continuity of the first four and last four channels of the MPO cable with visible light. Its handheld design, coupled with its straight forward easy to use keypad interface will determine if all channels are properly installed.
