Features and Benefits
CommScope Plug and Play splitter modules are equipped with either one or two input connectors. These splitters are designed to be inserted into the FDH’s splitter chassis until the backplane connectors are fully engaged. This connects the splitter input connector(s) to the feeder cable/F1 connector(s). Each Plug and Play splitter module is equipped with up to 64 connectorized output fibers that has undergone symmetrical split via the PLC. The splitter output fibers may be either stored for later use in an associated parking lot or routed to the distribution panels for customer connection. By utilizing this system, an operator gains full centralized control for their passive optical network (PON) without the need for costly and permanent splicing requirements.Instead, service can easily be added or removed whenever needed.
